Soundiver midi prob

Okay im reading manual at moment.

Set up is-
Virus c desktop midi in/out to creamware pulsar 2 midi in/out
Usb to Pcr 30 midi keyboard

I dont seem to have 'midi' title in my menu bar as suggested beside windows, from reading manual. But i do seem to ba able to communicate/edit via computer to access c in Soundiver. I have had error messages about driver problems when Emagic starts up about creamware midi in/out 2 ' no driver installed' even though i am using midi in/out 1 selected in control panel. The other audio software's have no problems only Emagic???

Now i see a picture in soundiver- Computer icon connected to Desktop c. should i also be seeing my Pcr midi keyboard. At moment i cant see it or trigger any sound. But Cubase sx 1 does register a signal but no sound..

Thanks

Can't help you with Cubase, but in Sounddiver you need to enable MIDI Thru
(Options menu)

No....All you should see is the computer and the Virus pictures

The problems you are having are most likely very easy to fix, and are probably just settings that are not correct, or something that is not configured properly.

I really recommend going to the music store where you bought your equipment, and have someone there come to your house to do an "Install" or "Training" session. This will cost a bit, but will be extremely benefical. It will save you countless hours and headaches, and have your system operating how it should be.

I did this when I first started, and it helped me Sooo much! MIDI is a bit of a bitch, and if you are new to all this, it can be quite frustrating and time consuming. But, saying that, it can be usefull to do it by yourself, which will help you learn.....important too!

Good luck!

I'm sorry but I'm not able to help you much at all with Sounddiver as I don't use it. I just had to say however, Fuck you must have some cash behind you Jase! Feel free to throw some my way..

Im a broke student! And it didnt cost too much for install/training. About (AUD) $50 an hour. Around 3 hours each session, around 3 sessions in total, but worth every penny!
