If you were going to buy a synth it would be a......
Just wandering,
If you could start again, and had the chance of buying your first synth, analogue or digital, hardware/software, romplers included.... Which one would you get, limited to say, around US$2000??? Im trying to help out a friend who is in the position of buying his very first VA, or main synth, and he is a little confused as to what he should buy, whether he should buy new, second hand, VSTi or outboard...... Thanks for your input! :) |
V-Synth!
Although I don't have one myself and shouldn't really back it too hard, I will stick by my choice. Good key action, heaps of real time controllers, built in sampler with Variphrase, Full VA section (but the VA seems to get improvements every OS update - indicating that it's not so flash) and it works well as an editable rompler. |
Thanks for the reply HC!
I forgot to add my vote :? Alesis Andromeda!!!!!!! Im sure I could pick one up S/H off eBay.. |

well......I guess we can also vote for our ultimate synth too, regardless of price.
Gosh, I have just re-watched the V-Synth demo video. That thing is fcking AMAZING!!!!!!!! Edit: Geez...seems the V-Synth has alot of bugs and issues from users. Many unhappy customers! Thinking twice about it's credibility now |
i think its price is still rather high right now.
gone take another year or so for a 20-30 % price drop. |

Hey guys, how is reaktor's new fast fx ensemble (elecvol2.0) features comparing to this V-synth effects? This ensemble could freeze audio, slice, gate, filter, zzzz etc.
