Input signal starts low....
Hi there!
I have commited myself to explore and learn my Virus...but have come across something unusual. I am sending a 16 bar drum loop to the Virus inputs, and at the beginning of the loop it is VERY low in level, and it gets louder as the loop progresses, until near the end it is at the correct volume.... Im sure it is something I have set incorrectly but cant seem to find this in the manual or in the Virus menu. Is this Input follower? Thanks for any help! |

Or as a complete longshot - have you set Input to Dynamic mode, and then triggered it with a midi note every 16 bars? in which case the Amp Attack could be to blame... |

Now, with the modmatrix, what am I looking for? I have loaded the Input patch from C125 and copied into bank A00. Now everything is at the settings as they are in C125. Still same issue. The loop is layed out across 81 bars, and at bar 1, is VERY soft, and is only at the correct level by about bar 50. It is a very slow increase in level.......no dynamics automation is activated in cubase, and the increase in level only happens when I route the signal to the virus. There are no LFO 1/2 assigns in the Modmatrix, and all other settings are as standard in the C125 patch. Any ideas? Thanks! |
Have you tried disconnecting the Midi In cable from the Virus? I have tried this same patch, and so far it behaves fine - I've also racked my brains for any Global parameters that might affect it, but can't think of anything so far..

I am running an audio track in Cubase SX, set the output to the virus inputs, and then back into my mixer for monitoring. So no MIDI connections used.... I will keep trying, thanks so much for the help! |
Ok....
Seems to be a problem specific to the project I am working on. I recreated the same thing in a different project, using a different loop, and all seems to be working as it should. Must be just one of those wierd computer occurances! Thanks so much for all the help! |
