Do You Care About the Virus TI?

Personally, I don't. I still have my KB, I never felt the need to get a C, and I'm certainly not going to throw down the cash on a TI.

The TI is cool, and it has a JP-8000 ripoff supersaw, but is it worth the upgrade cost? Not for me. If I'm going to spend money on a synth, I want something different, not just more of what I have. I'd rather buy an old Roland or something to use in addition to my KB than sell my KB at a huge loss and buy a new Virus.

If Access made a new product, I'd be pumped. I know, this Virus has tons more features than other Virus synths, but come on! It's still a Virus synth. I'd prefer something else from Access.

Yes, I care about the TI. It represents what ive always wanted the Virus to be hehe. I dont see hypersaw being a ripoff from the JP8000's supersaw. Its totally different. Plus, the wavetable oscilators negate the use of a dedicated wavetable synth. Besides you havent had the chance to use the moog filter yet.....Its one of the best digital filters ever made imo.

I dont think the Virus Ti is aimed at causing mind loops for existing Virus users.....the specs alone suggest its more aimed at high end music producers (i.e. people like me who want to pollute the world with more 80's style synth sounds  hehe).

Im sure the TI will be very successful.

I would really like seperate delay/reverb on all channels in multi-single mode... Too bad the didn't incorporate this in the C-model. I also REALLY like the VST-like incorporation (I think this is the most innovative feature on the TI)!

Of course I would like to own one, but I wont sell my Indigo 2 Redback to get it... :)

I care.

Deeply.

With regard to the HyperSaw, you need to bear this in mind:

"HyperSaw is a multi-sawtooth oscillator. With a single parameter the user can alter the amount of parallel oscillators from 1-9, smoothly and in realtime. You can literally add more oscillators to fatten up the sound whilst playing a chord. The relative tuning and spread can be controlled as well. "

With parallel subs to boot??!!

Come on - this puts the JP8000 in the shade, especially when you consider the polyphony count. Imagine sweeping from one saw through to 9, whilst modulating the detune and spread with an LFO...

This and the new wavetable oscillators should really open things up.

The Modmatrix has double the number of destinations compared to the C series. This will kick ass.

Multi arrangements will sound incredible. Imagine how much better it will be even on a single patch, now that we can have delay *and* reverb - now multiply that by 16 8)

Programmable arp for *every* patch.

Embedded multis.

Oh - and the TI Polar has to be one of the most beautiful synths I have ever seen 8O

I have to say, I care too.

The OSC types look really nice, poly is amazing, more matrix posibilities and not to mention the FX and programmable arp. That's all before getting to the hardware specs.

It's a beast! 8O

I won't be getting one, but I'll be drooling for sure!

Ben have you got your hands on a prototype yet?

TI

hey guys, i care to. Looks like i have to trade my indigo2 for a table top.

80 voice is awesome for midi seq. I don't get the part with the vst or au, can anyone explain?

no mp3.. for hypersaw.

The TI looks stellar. There's only one downside for me...it's becoming increasingly more and more difficult for me to own every incarnation of the Virus series. Don't ask why. I just want to have a complete collection for posterity.
