Drum beats with a Virus KC?

Hey Virus-mongers!

I have a quick question making drum beats with a KC.

I have gone through all the single mode banks and heard plenty that give off 1 drum sound (e.g. bass, toms, snare, hi-hat, etc.) on all keys of the KC.

With Kontakt and other smaplers I have heard that drum kits play with each drum/percussion tone of a kit on different keys of the synth at the same time. This seems a lot more usable.

Is it possible to make a KC do the same thing with its drum tones as the single mode banks play the same drum tone on all keys of the board?

It would be nice not to have to buy a soft sampler to do this as I am still recovering from buying the KC!

Any info is appreciated!

Cheers! 8)

You can do this is by assigning a keyzone of 1 key for each drum, snare, hi-hat, etc. in multi mode but you will be restricted to 16 types of drums, snares, hi-hats, etc. and they will use 1 part each. This means that if you make a multi with 12 drums, snares, hi-hats, etc. at different keyzones you will only have 4 parts left for other instruments.

VERY COOL!

This is a great day!

I do not have to buy a sampler. (yet!)
I will definitely tweak this out in Multi Mode tonight.

Thank you Onkel Dunkel!
