Buying some new equipment. Really needs advice!

Hi!
I am new on this forum and I thought you guys could give me the best advices instead of just guessing upon the stories they?ve heard from others.

I am currently looking around for hardware and I have some eqipments alternative I have to choose between.

1. Brand new Access virus Ti

2. Access virus C + UAD-1 StudioPack

3. Access virus C + Powercore DSP card

Which of these do you guys think I should go for?

(...man, it sure would be easier to answer questions like this if Access would just post some demo MP3s of the TI, eh?...)

The TI stands a chance of having more polyphony and parallel effects than the other combinations, more or less. As for the changes in the synthesis engine, I don't know what that repesents in added value yet.

I think along the same lines as MC above. It's really hard to judge the TI on paper alone (although it does look great on paper indeed).

I would be waiting until there is atleast audio clips and feedback about the software compatibility.

I reckon go the C + UAD-1 option.....

Or wait until u can actually go to your local store and touch the Ti, play with it for a few hours, and then make up your mind. In the mean time, have you played with a Virus yet? If not, go down to the nearest Audio store and start playing!

The UAD-1 card is a very fine card indeed I hear, and is near to the top of my wishlist. But it may not be what u need....

Kinda tough question, but Im sure lots here have an opinion!

Good luck, and....

I'd probably go for the C + UAD option aswell. This is what I had up until a couple of weeks ago when I sold the C to get the Ti. The C is still an amazing synth and the UAD compliments it really well.

I'd get UAD over powercore definitely as UAD have just brought out a couple of wicked plugins - a precision limiter and a plate reverb. It's also a better option for compression and EQing.

The UAD card has definitely taken my productions to a higher level and things are sounding more punchy and polished, for that "embedded" sound. I feel closer to sending demos off which is my aim at the moment.
