Emu E6400 ULTRA
 
i still use ny emu sampler, i recently upgraded my pc to windows xp.
unfortunately the EOS editor doesn`t work with xp.

anyone had the same problem and came up with a solution???

just sussed the whole thing out. :D
win xp doesnt load the necessary dll file thats required.

installed translator program and followed some instructions from this website http://www.chickensys.com/translator...k in business.

I'm a new man.I'm come from china.and I speak english not good...
but can you tell me how to use this software?
I have a 6400ultra,and the system is 4.10.I can open this software.but it told me "no emulator".I'm sure that I cennect the midi cabel.from EMU's out in to my PC and from my pc in to EMU.
who can help me.how to use this software and how to connect the cabel.

the sampler needs to be connected via scsi cable,i might be wrong but im not sure if the eos software works with midi at all.
however you can use midi to load samples into the emu, although scsi is much faster.

but I had connect midi cabel between EMU and PC.only use the midi cabel not SCSI cabel.but the software still told me"no emulator"
by the way,waht is the VIA SCSI?My emu have connect 4 SCSI HD and a SCSI CD DRIVER,but EMU has not more SCSI slot.

there is only one scsi slot on the back of your emu sampler.
you need to buy a scsi card and install it into your pc, then buy the correct scsi cable, (your local shop will be able to help you with this)

also i think it tells you the type of connector in the emu manual.
if you are wanting to use the sample editor software and send lots of samples from your pc from maybe wavelab or soundforge, this is the way to do it.

also forgot to add...

i also have my sampler connected via midi, but this is for recording into cubase.
