Hi guys. Well the time has finally come, me and a friend have decided to startup a new open source virus community where programmers get the chance to submit soundsets, tutorials and virus material. The site will be offered free of charge (at the moment) with the exception of web hosting where we do ask for a small donation if possible. The idea of the project is to offer users professional soundsets FREE of charge aswell as custom tutorials provided by contributors (we cant do this alone), where you submit your work and we provide it on our site. The website at the moment is still under construction, aswell as the whole project idea. So what do you think?, I'm sure there are plenty of virus programmers out there itching to show off and promote their skills, well nows the chance!. Lets make this the biggest virus project on earth :-) what do you say?

i finished the programming part of the site, and now i am working on few details on the design part of it.
the concept is very simple and basic: when someone makes a sound, he uplaods it and make it available for others! not complicated at all ;)
+ a little tutorials area!

just register, upload and download patches/soundsets!

Yeah thought about it and I discussed it here in one the forums few months ago, i forgot which one actually! then i delayed the project because i had a lot of work, then 2 weeks ago i bought the domain name and decided to go ahead :)
the php part was almost ready, i just finished the missing parts, now i am going to finalize the graphics and host it!
100% free and for all kinds of synths (soft synth included), not only the virus!

cool!, well I do not want to get in the way of your project, but I would still like to keep my website open as I currently am working on some beefy soundsets myself and would like my own website to publish them on. The only problem is my webspace is not guaranteed because I'm actually borrowing space from a friend. I would like to use my site to publish my own work free of charge.

lol and i don't want to feel guilty of getting in the way of your project neither! but after thinking, it feels like they are two different concepts, as far as i understand, you want to promote peoples' soundsets, what I did is actually a simple way to share patches for free, instead of seeking them in 200000 attached files in forums :)

Indeed! :D, well excuse my poor web design. Can ya tell ive never made a website before this? haha. First time for everything!!! :P

Ok i think i improved it just by changing the fonts :). It looks a nice site now!, i've seen much worse (from professional web designers) so i cant be going wrong. Downloads server will remain offline until I cant enough stuff to put on there. My soundsets should be ready soonish!, just try and be patient.
