latency recording
all my recordings have a little latency(audiophile soundcard)while all asio drivers seems to work r8,i delete the empty space with an editor,i have a prob with the basslines.
I delete the empty space, but every hit of the bass exept the first isnt on r8 time, this isnt very noticable but its still a mistake. I cant undarstand it,if it was just latency ALL notes would have the same amount of latency,so if u delete the first it would be solved. any suggations? |
Need to ask you a few questions before anyone will help you I think.
Is the latency occuring with softsynths or hardware? What sequencer are you using? What computer are you using? |
logic 5.0
p4 1.8 cpu 512 DDR No vst latency Yesterday i dropped down the buffer(?) section of the ASIO ftom 384 to 256 and seemed to work better,i didnt try to go to 128 cause i was dreaming over my keyboard ;-) Thanx for your intrest |
Just remember....when recording, use a lower buffer (512 or less) and when mixing, you can use the highest setting (1024)
|
But doesn't sequencer's latency compensation take care of this thing?
