Anybody check this Modular software out yet. . . . .
Check this nice piece of FREE software out for the PC. Modular setup with a nice following. Looks pretty cool. I dont have a PC, so report back with what you think. Defenitely not for the beginner though.

Tested out yet? One collegue from GoaArchive made tracks with Buzz in 1999.
The thing that applies to (almost) everything free also applies to Buzz - The quality/price rate is great because it's free, but still great quality costs and that's what free plugins unfortunately cannot offer. |
Interesting concept.
It's especially neat that these modules are coded with system performance in mind. So many VSTis are CPU and RAM hogs; it's nice that someone is writing clean code! Merlot, haven't you been using Cubase for a while? If so are you considering switching for any particular reason? |

I have used cubase since SX1. Haven't used it for the past 2 years though. Just got my upgrade to 3 in the mail and am toying around with it. Completely different workflow from logic, so I am just messing around with it for now. I do like the UI better than logic though. That being said, I am not switching yet. I also am in love with Live 4. So easy to bang out ideas in that program. What are you using? The reason I brought this up, was because I was reading some interviews with artists like Oliver Lieb, and James holden. Their mentioned they love this software, so I checked it out. Unfortunately it is PC only, so I cant test it or anything. Thought I might share it. |

It's the cheapo version that came with some of my gear. I will probably buy SL3 soon as it is the only cross platform sequencer left. I use a PC predominately but my father in law is giving me his old G4 dual processor Power Mac. I will probably move all my DAW stuff onto it as I get real nervous with all the stuff my wife does on our family PC. If I move to the Mac then she can torch the PC and my work is unaffected. 8) |
