VST-Plugin for Distortion & Overdrive Effect

I'm looking for a VSTplugin like Scream in Reason. What can you recommend (Soft- or Hardware)? Do you even know a good freeware?

NI Guitar Rig is pretty decent for a whole variety of guitar FX, try that.
