Ionic breezers or any air cleaners
How do all of you guys keep your studio equipments free of dust?
I recently noticed lot of dust on all of the studio equipments (mixer, cables, studiomonitors, synths, computer) Anyone use any sharperimage's ionicbreezers or any air purifiers? Any recomendations? :) Someone told me that sharperimage's ionicbreezers does'nt work really :? |
dust, that is the eternal problem.
i don't have any dedicated spray or special cleaner, so i just clean them regularly with a dry cloth, but i don't know what to do against dust that is below the knobs, i didn't dare remove them and clean below them |
The Ionic Breeze does attract a huge amount of dust to it's core of metal but it is hardly ALL the dust that needs to be trapped.
It does emit a pleasant flow of ions that give your studio a fresh smell. I dig mine! I also have an ozonator that I run once a week to keep any pesky odors from ever building up. Ciao! |
I have an Ionic Breeze and even though the collection grid gets dirty as hell, I don't honestly notice any less dust in my space.

You guys are probably gunna yell at me, but I use a standard Vacuum cleaner! Every week or 2 I'll go through the studio.
Some times the Nord gets dust inside, so I'll open her up and suck the grit out. With the mixer I just press the Vacuum onto the slider track and whack it on full suck. The rest of my gear doesn't have too much of a dust problem inside, so I'll go over the top of it all with the Vacuum. Haven't lost any knobs yet - touch the wooden pitch bender on the Nord. :D |
