Usually anything with Mr. Neve's name is gonna be f*ckin bomb, but there were a few little words on the web page that worried me.

Namely, That little word "Affordable" is certainly something I would watch out for. Also, there might be the psychological aspect where you think this pre is the best ever, but only because you got Ruperts name on the box.

your defently paying for the name brand,you got tons of great affordable preamps out there.
with basic DI skills you can get an amek mozart channel strip (neve preamp and eq) for around 150 dollars off ebay and just put it in a rack and there you have it!
from a 150 worth channel you get a 1500 dollar worth box. :D

im not one of them,sorry :)

there are people buying thos channel strips and reselling them in a new case for around 500-550 dollars a channel (which is expensive compering to making your own).
