i didnt understand how you intergrade it into your productions, you cant export something your build as vst or rewire max to your sequencer,so whats left? standalone hd recordings?

Here's an answer for MIDI: http://www.synthesisters.com/hyperma...ep03/6394.html

As for routing Audio, you can use Jack: http://www.jackosx.com/

... Let's go!

Well there is Pluggo, which enables you to build your own VST effects from Max/MSP patches, if I understand correctly.

That being said, there aren't a lot of things audio-wise I would revert to Max/MSP for, except for the FFT stuff which is implemented wonderfully. Reaktor still gets my vote for the stuff I do (sample looping and weird distortions).

MIDI manipulation and controlling external devices is something Max excels at, though!
