[solved] Polyphonic Pressure Message
Hope someone can give me a hand...
I need to change the "Arp Mode" from Cubase by MIDI. I see this needs to be done by "Polyphonic Pressure Message" as it is on Page B of the Message Numbers. How do I do this? For polyphonic pressure message, Cubase allows me to set the note (e.g. C4) and a parameter value (0-127). I'm really confused... How do I know what note it should be on? Do I send it on the same MIDI channel as normal? If anyone can explain to be how this works I would be most grateful! |
Hit record in Cubase, change the arp-pattern in your Virus, hit stop and go to the key-editor. In the list of controllers there is one called "Poly presure" and when you choose this there will apear another drop down menu where you can choose the key. I just checked and arp-pattern is Poly Presure D-2. Choose this one and draw in the value you like. Just remember that if you draw the value 30 for eksample, the arp-pattern will change to 31...

Oh sorry you meant arp mode  Well do the same but then the poly presure key is C#-2 instead of D-2. The values means following:
0: Arp off 1: Up 2: Down 3: Up & Down 4: As Played 5: Random 6: Chord The rest of the values (7-127) isn?t used for anything... |
D'oh!
I didn't think of that because my Virus isn't connected directly to my computer. It would be very inconvenient to figure things out that way! :) Perhaps I should review my awful MIDI routing. Thanks a lot Onkel Dunkel |
Glad i could help
