Like a Lamb to the Slaughter...

Hey Folks,

Thought I would drop a tune for you all which I wrote last week. Would love to hear your criticism, or, god forbid, even praise?!

It's a track called 'driver'

Hopefully this link should work, if not, you could go to soundclick.com and search for dugal.

This was created using a Virus C for most sounds apart from a bass line from Trilogy, some stuff was passed through a Mutator or Sherman, I also used some of the onboard effects on my Yamaha 01v.

the Vocal is an acapella which has been reversed- I won't tell you who the original artist was! :D

It was all arranged in Cubase SX and all drums were in my Akai Z4 or Battery.

Eeeerm, hope thats enough info!

Cheers

to be honest... i liked it alot!
only thing that bothers me is that the mix could be worked some more and you got to change that 909 kick or at least compress DA shit out of it.

Cheers mate,nice work.

Aaaah, good point. It's 4 kicks layered ontop of each other and I was thinking it needed something. Will get on to that.

I'm not too fussed about the mix yet because it hasn't had any eq or dynamics and I know what needs to be done. Just thought I would post a 'rouph' mix to see what people thought of the tune.

Thanks Tomer!! :D

mmm, I like this too.

sounds very pro to me - it's got a contemporary feel, with the raw sounding synth and bass sounds.

good work
