Just swapped my Bass station Rack
For an Alpha Juno 2!!!
You gotta love Pawn shops 8) |
What are the Alpha Juno's like? I know HC has one.....
Nice one mate! New toys to play with.... |
I heard it does some realy nice analog basses, not juno 60 like but decent... :D
|
Don't get it until monday so I'll report back after I've had a chance to play around with it.
It may not have quite as nice a bass as a Juno 60, but it does have full midi implimentation which is quite important to me. I've given up my hopes of owning an SH101 but I think the juno will be a better alround machine for me. Also, my studio is a bit shy on the Roland side of things which is never a good thing IMO |

$790 "buy me now" price though, dunno how that compares to what they go for in other parts of the world. |
sh101
Also Gopal theres a store in Tokyo (where I am) called ichigoya music. They have, I kid you not, about 15-20 grey 101s. Some have the mod-grips some dont. All are good condition but I suspect some may have scratchy pots or sliders. But there bound to be a few good ones in there. Retailing from 38,000 yen. (about 491$NZ) Annoyingly I cant find a web page on google for it. But I'll find out for you if you are really keen. Also keep an eye on http://www.fiveg.net/ -they sometimes have some good stuff if you can wade through the japanese.

is it possible for vintage gear to be sent from japan worldwide?
|
I have an Alpha Juno 2 as well but I haven't played around much with it...Some great sounds in there but DAMN I hate that dial for programming the patches hah
|
if so you should try a software editor such as soundiver or midi quest.
|
Yes I actually tried Midi Quest last week with my jp8080 and was fairly impressed...I will give it a try with the Juno :)
