VKC DSP Failure?

Whats up all.
I think the DSPs have failed after my mate tried to midi dump
a new OS via PRO Tools. Anyone have any idea how much it
might cost to replace these? Motorolla i suppose.
Thanks alot!

Hi,

sounds like the OS update failed. You should contact access support:

http://www.virus.info/emailsupportfo...epartment=tech

You do not need to replace any chip on the mainboard, I guess the update was just not applied correctly to the flash rom for any reason.

It might be that your virus must be returned to the next support center.

Hi there!
Thanks for the insight.
I would like to mention that when the OS and new sound banks
were dumped the VKC did function for a few minutes, then sound corruption occured and the unit deteriated to the point of non
functionalty.
Still sound like an OS mis-install?
Thanks so much!

Hi,

What sequencer did you use to update? Were you sending the Data too fast maybe?
Keep a low tempo on your sequencer when sending sysex data.
Some people say 60 BPM Tempo when sending sysex data. I get by fine with 85 BPM.

Make sure that you are NOT sending Midi Clock or Arp data from the Virus.
Your Virus CD has OS .mid files broken into chunks too if you need to do it that way.
Oh and the Access Web site has older OS versions for download too.
