Hi All
Please excuse my ignorance i am newcomer to the access virus magic .
I have a virus xl bought from ebay 2 months ago and a TI bought wednesday
Considering i will not be using the ti with a pc sequencer ( i use a hardware sequencer) do i need to install the current update

I don't think it's necessary in this case.

Yes, you should keep your Virus up to date, even when you use it with a hardware sequencer. Just install the software on your pc, the firmware updater runs directly after the normal installation and updates the Virus.

Hey!

I've downloaded and installed the "virus_ti_software_installer_v102.zip" (on Wednesday I think). Then the file was removed from the website and now there's (I suppose newer) version "virus_ti_software_installer_v102r2.zip"

But when installing the newer file 102r2, the program tells me, that it is older than the current version and aborts. Why does it happen? Can you please advice me?

Uninstall the old version via the Software Control panel, then install the new version.

done so - but it still aborts because a "newer version is already installed" ...

after having de-installed and rebooted the pc 100 times it finally worked ...
