Will Novation Realease Something Similar to TI?

Just wondering what you guys think...Will Novation release a Supernova III? Or have they descended into the world of Vst instruments for good?

Apparently they are getting ready to release a new super synth....thats all ive heard. Ironically their HQ is situated 30 mins car drive from me...i may just go pay them a visit...

I wouldnt expect to see anything till after the winter trade show.

Will it include something like TI? I doubt it.....

All I'd like is something that improves on the Supernova line. Not that it really needs any improvements..Just that I'd love to get a Supernova III the same way I'd choose a TI now and not a C.

Let me know how the drive goes =] ...and I wouldnt doubt it if they do release a new synth that it would have integration as well. They're making software synths right now as it is...How difficult would it be to make that same interface but it doesnt use sound? It just controls the hardware synth. And they make Midi keyboards with VST templates..So I'd be more in doubt that if they do release a new synth it wouldnt have this kind of technology.

I thought the 'super synth' secret turned out to be nothing more than the SL25 or whatever - an alternative to the Korg Kontrol - lots of LCDs and sliders etc, but only 25 keys *again*

Why cant they release the 61 key versions first - grrrr!!!

In fact Novation was the first company with a total integrated synth which is the Novation Remote25 audio or X-station or whatever it was. It uses a usb connection too, sends the synth's output directly to the host sequencer like Virus TI and the synth acts as an audio interface too. I guess Access use the same company's usb driver which Novation use too. http://www.usb-audio.com/

The Novation X-Station has the TI beat in regards to control over the inputs and outputs of the sound card part of the synth IMHO. The X-station has a dedicated line out level knob (the output of the sound card engine to the monitors), a dedicated monitor control knob (which lets you choose monitoring between the input of the sound card, output of the soundcard, or a combination of both), and a dedicated gain control knob (to control the gain for the sound card input) all on the face of the synth. It would have been nice for the TI to have had these features. Not a major oversight, but it would have been nice.
