the wavetables

some questions to the wavetables:
-how many wavetables does the TI provide?
-Is it true that there are only three or four waves per wavetable? ain't that a bit too few? I mean if you compare that with software wavetable synths providing up to 256 waves per wavetable, that's really thin.
-Are they diversified?
