Ti's BPM thru the roof w/ logic 7.1

i'm using logic 7.1 on a dual g5-- and even with the 1.05 os update, after hitting "play" (in logic) the BPM goes a million miles per minute. what's going on!? i thought this update was supposed to make the clock work? (i'm slaving all midi to logic's clock).
what' gives? am i doing something wrong?

p.s. is there a temporary fix by not sync-ing the Ti to my g5? it screws every preset/patch up.
