105 OUT OF SYNC!

The arps still slip out of sync for me with the 105 update. Changing patches in cubase still knocks sync of time. Still not able to export mix without TI loosing sync. Random note hangs over mix.

These are some major problems im still having with 105.
They are the bugs I would like to see fixed for the next update!

Re: 105 OUT OF SYNC!

You're not alone, bro.

Here's a list of my problems:

1. I've never gotten anywhere close to a proper sync with any arp. Whenever I trigger an arp through MIDI in my sequencer I get some kind stumble in the very beginning and does at no point ever properly lock to tempo.

2. Working with several sounds at the same time sometimes give me different timing for the different sounds playing the exact same MIDI data. One sound can appear to come earlier than other VSTi's or even Nuendo's own click track, whilst others come very late.

3. I often get stuck notes and need to reach for the panic combo every couple of minutes while sequencing by hand.

4. A lot of sounds seem to have some kind of hissing or distortion-like quality to them much the effect a bit reduction gives you at lower bitrates. Very apparent during the end of a decay.

5. Most patches have some interesting stuff going on when you tweak the three assignable knobs under the display but I've unable to write any automation from these thus far.

Pretty cool, huh?

Yep I have the exact same scenario with the bugs and the TI. Everyone i see with these problems is using RME cards. I wonder is its related in anyway? maybe the clocks interfere with each other? just speculating..

Yeah, could be. The fact that we're both using RME and Steinberg should be an indication of... Something.

yes, I have sync issues. I use SONAR and also the RME fireface 800.
When I use VIRUS USB AUDIO instead of the RME, everything is sort of ok.

Ive unplugged the RME fireface from my system and still get stuck notes and a few timing wobles. It realy is a simple test to find out what is and isn't responisble.

Bottom line is if you bought a USB midi box and it didn't have good timing you'd return it. The problem is in the TI or its drivers people!

out of sync

we are using Motu 2408MkII & Logic 7 on Mac & we have exact same trouble so it's nothing to do with your setup & everything to do with the OS on th Ti...

okay, is there anybody using an RME card (minus me...) who does not get stuck notes or at least the majority of problems the poster has? please post a profile of your system in case you hit the reply button
thanks, marc
