How to use Virus C Desktop as an FX .. Vocoder ... ?
 

hello

i have mixer console Yamaha Mg 8/2 FX and access virus C desktop, my soundcard is m-audio audiophile 192.

could anyone help me how can i connect virus c to mixxer and to soundcard to use Virus as an FX ? anyway? it is possible ?

from which output to which input... where etc ... ill be glad if anyone can write it step by step. because im new to virus c, and tutorials didnt help me.

So you want to run some sound into the virus and use the Vocoder etc????

Start by sending out the signal you want processed into the input of the Virus. This can either come direct from your soundcard (ie a sound you have already recorded) or you can hook up a microphone into your mixer, then route that signal into your Virus using a aux send or other buss.

There are a number of patches in Bank B, from #96 onwards.....use these for your vocoders etc..

Press a key on your Virus, then speak into the mic
