Problems installing Ti Software

Hi - I'm trying to install the Virus Ti software and I'm getting an error message as soon as the install starts that says "Could not access network location %VSTPLUGINS%" after this I can only try again or exit the install.

It seems to be picking up a default location for my VST's that does not exist, any ideas?

start > run>write :regedit and press enter
do a search for %VSTPLUGINS%
change the value to your real vst folder path .

had the same problem...if it happens again just keep doing the same thing.

also, if when installing it says it cant find any files, look for them where you are installing the TI software (or just search your hdd for the file it mentions) and point the installer there.

the installer is *so* dodgy :)

have fun with your TI :)

have a nice day

Some VST Host software set the "VST Plugins Folder" setting in the
Windows Registry to an faulty value. The TI installer just reads the path supplied by the registry. If _the path_ is dodgy, the installer won't run smoothly.

Click on "Start" -> "Run..."
type "regedit" and click [OK]

When the registry editor opens, navigate to this key:
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\VST\"

and edit the REG_SZ value "VSTPluginsPath" to an empty string or delete
it.

Marc

ps. which host are you using?
