HOW!! DOES the TI compare with the VIRUS C - honesty please!
well i first heard a VIRUS C late last year, and wANted to buy one straight away., but it had been discontinued.
now i have waited for the TI for a long time and about to buy it, have put the deposit on it already. HOWEVER to all you TI users, how does it compare with th VIRUS C which i was already extremely happy to purchase. SHOULD I JUST CHANGE back TO VIRUS C and use stuff like ABSYTNH 3 for wierd wavetable sounds. is ti really that much better sonically than the VIRUS C. no hype but true answers, please |
that's a very good question to ask technomonster. Having recently sold my Virus C to pick up a TI, I can honestly say I am happy I did so. Don't get me wrong, prior to the TI, the virus c was my favorite synth (I essentially couldn't think of not using it for every song I did). And as far as analog synths go, the c still is an amazing synth. What really has set the TI apart from it (for me) are the things that are discussed in the other post. The increased power - polyphony, all efx assignable to all parts now, the hypersaw and (most importantly for me) the Virus Control. I really do love using the vc (bugs aside of course) and am now finding using a synth without vc features to be a drag. Hope this info helps a little with your decision.
