!HELP! Virus as filterbox?
 

Having no analog synths anymore I was thinking about getting me some cheap one with filter input if not an extra filterbox. Regarding prices it seems for a few euros more i can get some Virus B, I always dreamt of. I simply can't find any proof that it does ultrasonic, infrasonic with these smacking envelopes I loved so much about my Prophet 2002. Can anyone point me to some samples, or simply tell me what YOU think about this little detail?

i think a sherman filterbank will suit you better then the virus as a filter box.

Although I use my VirusC as a filter box all the time, I wouldn't buy a Virus just for that purpose - as Tommer said, there are better alternatives.

did someone notice the news on the gearjunkies page about the new rack filterbank and stereo rack filterbank -> awesome new hardware from belgium 8)

its accualy a 3rd generation sherman filterbank not just a v2 in a rack shape.
they modified it with new features i belive.
