Restoring the virus KC to it's original form...
 

Hello,
I am new to the forums and I just bought a virus KC and so far I love it!

The KC is 2nd hand and has a ton of patches and alterations that someone else made; I would like to load the original sounds and settings into it

Particularly to get the 'start' and 'init' patches, plus I like hearing the factory patches when I buy a new synth so I can start from there.

I know I can reset the synth by holding the lfo select button when I power it on- does that reset all the setting to factory?

as for the original patches I can't seem to find them anywhere, I have tons of other peoples banks but I want the original ones- so my synth is just like it came from access, besides of course the OS update.

BTW I can't load anything .mid to it for some reason, I have flstudio and cooledit and nether one of them successfully could load a .mid file to the virus even when I slow the bpm to 60


So does anyone have any ideas?

As far as your virus not loading .mid files, I would guess it is something to do with your settings in either the Virus, or your sequencer. Look at the Access manual for more information on optimizing your Virus when using sequencers.
