Kind of OT: Alternatives....

Hi all,

Since a few of us are a bit pissed at Access right now... :)

Has anyone worked with Clavias Nordlead or Modular G2? Or other similar "leadsynths" for that matter.

I got the TI mainly for leadsounds, fat pads & arps.
I?m not into trance/dance/techno at all so there might be other (working) products out there for me to consider.

....as long as the TI has got about a zillion of bugs...

...its sounds are great though...

Any input appreciated...

They're all good is the simple answer.
Although they mostly offer less polyphony, and less capable oscillator functions than the access.

problem is, the TI is patchy in several areas at this moment, so you either go for the cheaper and less capable, or stick it out and hope that v1.10 solves most of the issues.

I'm sticking it out as I use the TI in midi only mode, and it works superbly in that respect.

If the TI is more hassle than you can cope with at the moment, then the obvious alternative would be the Model C.

are you looking for a polyphonic instrument?
maybe you should consider real analog if not.

if your into modular synthesis the nord modular G2 is an amazing synth.

yapp....polyphonic...got to have that.

The thing is....I started to look at Creamwares Minimax, you know...thinking that this would be the thing for me...a Moog-kind-of-a-emulator...

Then when I was in the store...I started to f*ck around with the TI. Sounded big and fat...!

So..I got it! Just like that. Crazy, huh??
I hate the VISA-card

Anyhow...I guess I?m just disappointed, right now. I shold just be cool and see wassup with that v1.1

NordLead 2x

I have a 2x it is alot brighter than the Virus (Very Electricity sounding)....I think it beat's the Virus for Industrial music........But to get that clear round/soft trance bass (as I would call it ) it's Virus all the way!!!!!

So you can say that the 2X are "edgier" than the TI..?
Better for lead...?
As said...not into trance or similar...more towards rock.

Need the "old school" lead sounds....

Actually...I?m not complaining over the TIs sounds...just frustrated over all the problems right now...
