Guitar to Midi converters

Firstly, who here uses one?

Secondly, how good do they get, the only one I've tried (roland) was rather dissapointing, but i don't think it was setup properly.

Are there any out there that can handle full speed guitar playing and translate to midi?

Would really like some advice here as its really stifling my creativity cause I don't play keys and can't turn my guitar riffs into synth riffs :?

The only experience I've had is with my mates Brian Moore iGuitar...

He uses it through a MIDIsport MIDI interface, and is able to control synths/samplers from within Reason, and it does this pretty good. Dont know if this helps you out though..

Ok here is my suggestion Yamaha G10 WITH g10c converter . back in 80's when they come out they cost $ 3.000 . from time to time they still come up on ebay for around ?350-400 . one thing you have to know , G10'S HAVE NONE LATENCY THE ARE AS FAST AS kEYBOARDS BUT if you use it in ( Left Hand Mode only ) it has combined Both Hands Mode but right hand picking will give you Huge 10 millisecs delay . got to use it as left hand playing controller only .it will be unusual at firs but with some practice you 'll get used to it fast . listen to Alan Holdthworth , not sure if i spelt his name right though. its awsome instrument when you get used to it . i havent touched my guitar raughly a year now .
