Lab4 Candyman Leadsound
Hello!!
have you ever tried recreating the huggge famous lab4 candyman leadsound? Or are you looking for some patching challenge? I have tried doing it, but failed everytime... Lab4 used a Virus Indigo (don't know whether the first or second edition) for it, so there's theoretically not even need for the EQ (probably they used an external one)... Don't know the song? Because if you knew it, you would have tried to recreate that patch already ;-) I'm talking of the leadsound that's being used in the second part of the track... |

just do it!

When Lab 4 toured here they told us that alot of their sound comes from overdriving the fuck outta an analog desk
|
I can't believe that the sound I'm talking about got a lot of his character from overdrive... It doesn't sound like being heavily, or even slightly overdriven to me

bump

Well, that's what they told us. And they are 100% hardware (or were when we spoke to them)

okay
someone recreate this patch please, I always fail |
My memory of this track is really vague - aint the sound you're talking about pretty much a bog standard hoover patch with an HP filter on it being messed with?
If so, find a patch with hoover or something inthe name (there must be on in there somewhere - all synths have a hoover patch these days :)) and tweak it to death :) Or am I thinking of another track - maybe I'm just suffering from beer deficiency syndrome..? |
okay, I will search the old LPs and sample a few seconds - tomorrow ;-)
