Sale price for Virus C XL and MachineDrum SPS-1
Hi guys,
I am not sure what to put these items up for sale at. I am thinking of putting the Virus up for sale at ?450 and the MachineDrum up for ?600. Both are in excellent condition and come with everything they came with and original packaging etc... Do you guys think these prices are a bit steep? What would you suggest? Drammy |
arrr machinedrum
i would suggest looking at finished bids over ebay and look at the avarage closing price. |
Is it a UW version?
Cost new for the basic in europe is about 700-800 or so. (Compared to 900+ in the UK). The UW version work out at around 1050 is ordered from Thomann or Elektron. If the basic model, try 600 - not everyone has the good sense to check the price in europe :) BTW - how come you are parting with it? |
It is the original MachineDrum.
I just don't use it - I use Stylus RMX for all my percussion now. I have drum samples coming out of my ears and just don't ever use the MachineDrum. I find RMX so easy to use and the quality is absolutely fantastic... I bought the MachineDrum for when I am on the road - my job takes me all over the UK and I stay in hotels most nights of the week. I thought it would enable me to relieve some of the boredom enabling me to consturct some beats in my hotel room. My role has kind of changed over the last few months and I am only spending about 2 or 3 nights in a hotel every month. As a result I just don't use my MachineDrum... A bit gutted but hey, if I don't use it I may as well sell it. |
Opposite here - moved from software based to hardware based drums - the MD is my main-stay for programmed drums usually layered with stuff recorded on the v-drum kit, and the Motif ES for programmed hand percussion when needed.

I don't think I should have too many problems selling the MD.
My main concern is how much I can get for the Virus XL... Drammy |
a virus c desktop goes around 1000US on evil-bay.
so i would say put on for around 800-850us for the buy it now price. |

www.prepal.com is the best site for used gear prices, mind you it hasn`t been updated since December 2004.
also for checking individual prices by date www.sonicstate.com but not nearly accurate as prepal .. |
