Synthesizing vocal sounds such as "Oh", "Ah&q
Hey guys,
Does anyone have any tips regarding how one might synthesize some simple vocal sounds such as "oh", "ah", and "oooo" sounds on a subtractive synthesizer? |
I think it's filtering using several bands (in parallel) at a time. Like varying dual-(or more)-band pass filter-cutoff configurations or the like, but am not exactly sure as my Trinity has a dedicated vowel-filter insert effect thus I'm a bit of a copout in that area.

A radias can do it with the formant mode, as can the monomachine.

i would advice you to read about formant synthesis.
basicly you need 3 resonating bandpass filters to achive that but it should work reasonable well with only 2 in parralel mode. cheers, Tomer. |
