Any one know what synth's were used to get the sound from the Soprano's theme song 'Woke up this morning' by A3?I think a samplers was also included.......any info would be appreciated !

It's a TV program and and good one. I do admit that never heard of A3 either. (not my cup of tea)

this is what i call filter tweaking!
sounds very raw,
some general direction:

2 pw oscilators stacked,one at a higher octave sligly detune
distortion is post (after) filter
try using a single lowpass filter and if doesnt quit do it add another bandpass filter and run them in different combinations (parralel\non parallel)
high resonance and start going wild.
try using the ARP on hold mode,it will be easyer this way to expirimet with the sound.

Oh come now, A3 are fantastic. British Acid House Gospel, it's a great combination :) Turning up on a number of soundtracks, too, Gone in 60 Seconds for example.
