Rack Mounting a Ti
Yipee! Just bought a Ti desktop!
I intend to rack mount it - can anyone tell me how many rack spaces it takes up so I can get something big enough to take it. I think it looks like 4U but I can't find it anywhere and the guy at Turnkey didn't know either. Thanks! David |
Congrats on the purchase. :)
4U it is. Quote:

Thanks Timo. Silly me for looking in the specifications page!
Yup, that's my best friend Scrubbie the Border Terrorist. Quick to learn, slow to obey. Regards David |

1U if you use right angle connectors, else 2U.
Or rotate the back panel and then it 0U. |

Yeh - details in the manual I think (?) - it involves taking it apart - may impact warranty...

Got a Classic myself so not much use to me. I'm thinking I might buy a 6U Gator rack case for it. Though I do have a Yamaha A3000 in a 2U case so it might be smarter to buy a larger case for both of them and sell the 2U.

Hi. Just got my TI desktop and I want to put it in a rack. I don't see any instructions with the rack ears and need to know if I am supposed to use the same bolts that hold the wood panels in place for mounting the rack ears to the unit. I am assuming this is the case, as I see no other screws, but I'd hate to risk damaging the unit.
Thanks! |
