For Sale : Apogee rosetta 200 24bit/196kz a-d/d-a converter

I need more inputs and outputs so, I can't believe i'm doing this, but i'm selling my apogee rosetta 200 a-d/d-a converter for ?1,000. They are ?1,500 new and mine in amazing new condition cos I always take total care of my equipment. If you need a picture of it then let me know and i'll e-mail one to you.

The sound quality is just stunning. The stereo image is just so pin point accurate and amazing its hard to sell it. I wish I could afford a rosetta 800 but they're ?1,900 new, so i'm gonna have to get myself a cheaper audio interface so I can have more inputs and outputs. I will say i've used various terratec, m audio, motu etc.... audio interfaces and the apogee i've got just totally beats the pants off them all. I guess if I dont manage to sell my apogee then I won't in any way be gutted cos its just a brilliant top quality a-d/d-a converter.

But anyways, lets me know guys if you are interested.

Check out the Lynx Aurora 8,
Its around 1800$ new and well worth it.

Yeah I might go for the lynx aurora 16 actually. Can they be used as a multi input/ multi output audio interface like apogee rosetta converters. I mean i've got a firewire card for my rosetta 200 so I can use it as my main audio interface. Can that be done with the lyn, or are they just stand alone converters.

You have 2 options basicly:
1.Some basic soundcard with Adat I\O,the draw back: the higher the sample rate the less channels you get.
2.The best choice for "geting the most out of the gear" is geting an AES\EBU Card from RME or Lynx which will allow you to do 16 I\O at 24bit\192khz.

Happy buying,
Tomer

(God,I envy you  )

Yeah but is that 16 seperate ouputs like a multi output audio interface so I can send 16 channels out of cubase seperately? Cos I wanna send the sounds in my mix out seperately to put through a mixing desk and compress, eq or whatever on the mixing desk on seperate channels. I know with an apogee rosetta 800 you can buss the sounds in your mix to seperate outputs of the rosetta 800 and send them out of cubase seperately so I can in fact treat the sounds indvidually once out of the audio interface. Cos I dont really understand the AES ouput option. The whole 16 channels would coming through the 1AES ouputs wouldn't they?

Yes,thats exacly what multitrack is all about :)
AES is a multi-channel digital format.

What outboard are you using if you dont mind me asking?

I haven't got any outboard, I just use waves renaissance max bundle, but I wanna go the all hardware route bit by bit for 2 reasons, 1...to save on cpu power and, 2...to get better sounding reverb and digital effects than waves, which is very good indeed but not as good as a lexicon pcm-70 or mpx-1 which is the kind of thing I wanna loop into the signal chain in cubase sx3 now that its easier to integrate external fx processors when using cubase.
