Howdy from Seattle!
Hey, gang:
Found you by linking from the "old Irish Acts" site (yes, the K word  ). I'm here to begin researching how much I WANT a Virus B and try to find answers to my questions as to what I would be sacrificing not getting a C (don't need mass polyphony and don't need anything TI). The Classic may be a good choice, but it seems trimmed down a bit from a B ( :?: ). See you in the threads, Wayne equip: Ensoniq EPS 16+, Roland JD-800, Korg KARMA, Korg Radias. site: www.soundclick.com/waytho |
Welcome! :D

Hi Wayne, welcome to the boards.
I haven't looked in a while, but is there a significant price difference between a used virus B vs a used virus C? |
Welcome!

Welcome!!!
A classic is just a repackaged b. It's the same synth. I bought a second hand b 3 years ago and it's never missed a beat. Trust teh Access (as long as it's not a TI) :P |
Hi,
Yes, Doc Jones, (at least on eBay) the Classic is around $1100 USD (more than sites that still have them listed new but out of stock) and the VBs are going from around $550. Wish there was a new Classic out there somewhere :!: Thanx for the info Gopal -- now a question for you: I have heard there are a lot of bugs with the TI stuff. . .so lets say I buy a new TI and never hook it up to a computer - would I still experience bugs :?: Wayne |
Welcome to the forums!

As far as I understand, the TI is stable as a standalone unit and has been for some time. I'm not an owner though
