90's dance music?
 
Does anyone know what type of synth's were used in the 90's on albums by , La Bouche ,Le Chick ,Ace Of Base....etc .They all sound very similar but nothing that is out now a days resembles the sound.I hope someone can help........thanx

I like lots of those sounds as well

it seems now everything sounds the same. especially in trance.

but in the early 90's they used lots of multi sampled synths like the Korg M1. which gave tracks more interesting sounds rather than the same old supersaw presets and hissy synths

They used a lot of those simple "knobby" bass type sounds with plenty of mid range and low end in the 90's. Think "Rhythm Is A Dancer" by Snap.

The type of synths used by these bands back in the late 80's - early 90's:

Korg M1
Yamaha DX7 (click bass often layered with analog)
D50
Juno
Jupiter 6
JD800
SH101

OH MAN! I think I was like 8 or 9 when this came out.
