virus TI FX engine

Hey,
I really like the access virus TIs reverb, is there a way I can use it as an effects processor for other gear?

Best Regards
Tim

Not done this myself, but feed your audio signal into the Virus as the sound source instead of using the osc's in the TI. Then I believe the effects are applied to your in-putted audio signal.

Thanks, I'll try it.

Sounds like too much hard work for some anologue Reverb..Why not keep it in a digital domain and use a great Vst reverb like Timeworks ReverbX

Hi IceCold

Yes i like the reverb too. ;)

And what you want is possible theMusicMan allready said, all you have to do is to route the Audio Signal you want to effect into the analogue In of the Virus. You can effect this sound then with all the FX for sure also with the Reverb (and Vocoder ofc^^) and also with the Filter.
You gotta give the Signal out via an analogue Out then. Over USB it is not possible - the signal would be recorded dry, without the FX.

@The girl next door:
what analogue Reverb are you talking about? ;)

theMusicMan 15.12.2006 02:37 PM

This one I imagine...

As soon as you start using your Analogue chinch cables and not your USB cable it is no longer digital my Friend (Anton aus Tyrol)....
Thats why i suggested a VST as the Virus Ti can not be used as a VST reverb effect for other Synths...

my name ain't Anton 8) and this awfull song is mainly listened in England. Over here it's only played for drunken tourists ;).

And the reverb is still digital, also if you route the signal out analogue.

But i now know what you mean. But neither the Plugin you posted, nor the Virus reverb is Analogue.

I never said the ReverbX is analogue...
The ReverbX is Digital cause its a VST Plugin and the Virus Through Audio cables is no longer digital...But if you think otherwise then OK...Happy producing
"EDIT" Just for your information...Anything that enters OR leaves your computer that isn't on CD/DVD or On a harddrive or isn't through a USB or Firewire cable,is no longer Digital...And if it was never digital in the first place,it never will be...
