Virus patch names in Cubase...

Hi All

I have downloaded the file supplied by Access that is the Virus TI patch name file for use with Cubase, but which Cubase directory do I install this file into please?

The information from the Access site says this is what the file contains:

Quote:

Cubase Patch Names
Steinberg Cubase SX3 patch names for Virus TI, v105. Use this file to make browsing and program changes in Cubase more convenient
So, how do I enable this for Cubase S4? It is a .txt file in the format:

Quote:

[cubase parse file]
[parser version 0001]
[device name] Access Virus TI
[script name] Access Virus TI
[script version] Version 1.00
[bank: don't swap value bytes]
[define patchnames]
[g1] RAM A
[p2,0,0] Veldisa BC
[p2,1,0] BombTraxMS
[p2,2,0] GlobalDJMS
[p2,3,0] Spring HS
[p2,4,0] WavePad BC
[p2,5,0] Ti|Bell SV
etc etc etc...

There must be someone on here that can help out though, or perhaps you can try the cubase.net forums???

The only thing I can suggest is doing a search on your PC for other .txt files. I know that Cubase comes with a whole bunch as standard, like there should be Virus A/B .txt's, and others from Roland, Yamaha etc...

Thing is Jasedee is that all the preset files I can find in Cubase directories are xml documents.

Where is this file stored in MacOS? this might provide a clue.

In Mac OSX:

[Home]--[Library]--[Preferences]--[Cubase SX3]--[Scripts]--[Patch Names]

Maybe Windows uses .xml files intead of .txt??? I know that for Pro Tools they use .xml files instead of .txt

That was it Jasedee... the /Scripts folder is where they are at!!

So - I installed the file in there, but how now do I access that when in Cubase to show the names for my TI Patches?
