Any way to get a virus C desktop to make sound without a midi controller?
 

I'm having problems and need to see if it's the midi or it's not putting out sound.
Is there any way to do this?

no.

you need some form of midi input be it some form of controller - preferably a keyboard - or a sequencer. Otherwise it won't know whether to generate sound or not.

You can audition a patch by pressing "edit" and "sync" together witch is the same as pressing the middle "C" (at max. velocity i think)...
