Cubase S4 Program Changes during song with TI

Hey All

I am trying to get Cubase to set the TI to use a specific Program/Patch at the beginning of a song, and to also send Program Changes to the TI during a song - however, am having little, if any, success.

I have programmed several Program Changes into the List Editor in CS4, but these have zero effect on the TI patches selected. When in the List editor, I am also not really sure if I should be putting values into Value 1, Value 2 or Value 3 fields.

Am happy to post screenies of the List Editor if required so you can see how I am trying to do it.

Can someone advise please... ?

Are you seriously using more than 16 TI patches in your track?

No - not at all Drammy. I use only a few.

I want to set Cubase to transmit the program name to the TI as the song starts that's all really.

presently I name the track with an abbreviation for the synth it uses and the patch on that synth that I use. I want to avoid having to do this and use Cubase to set the TI to the correct patch without my having to use the track name or having to remember what it was.

Ah - I guess you are not using Virus Control.

Probably best if you post some pics...

Hi Drammy - you assume correctly :)

I am not using VC, had too many issues with USB souncard drivers etc and decided to opt for a MOTU 8*8 Midi device - which works a treat.

I am about to go into a few meetings this afternoon, but will shoot some screen shots on here later.
