DJ's Please help. Need song suggestions
 

Just landed a new job as music producer for a promo video production. The customer is one of the harbours in the Helsinki area. We've sold them the idea of a "Top Ten" music chart. All the songs must somehow have something to do with:

Logistics and freight
Shipping
Cars
Trucks
Motorways
Tracking

Now, I know just about anything by Kraftwerk would fit, but do you please have any suggestions for titles that ARE LIKELY TO BE CLEARED by the publishers? Beatles, Led Zep or Earth Wind and Fire are probably not going to be within our price range. I'm thinking 5-year old House, Heavy Metal and Reggae.

By the way, if we don't get them cleared, I'm going to be in the market for your tunes - if you'd like to have a bash and make some cash. But that all depends on how much the licensed gear costs us. Of course, I really hope we can't get them cleared, but we have to show the customer how much the hits cost.

If you make a winning suggestion that gets cleared, there's an iPOD in it for ya!

Juho mate. Although it's for international clients, at least one Finnish track could be great. We'd then subtitle it in the vid. In fact, thinking about it, I'd really like to include a Finnish track.

an old house track comes to mind...has a line in it that says "all aboard... the night train". Sorry I can't remember the whats what about the prodcers but i'm sure yourself or someone here will remember.


How about a techno'd up version of "We are sailing" by Rod Stewart ;) :p :D

Just a bit more to give you an idea of titles I'm looking for. Bear with me..

There's going to be a massive automobile terminal at the harbour. Nearly all new cars coming to Finland will be going through this place.

So, I'm hoping to use one track called Getting in 2U. I can envisage that in a video with a new owner getting in to his (of course it's a man) new car. Ta-dah!

So, you see, the song doesn't actually have to be about "cars" as such.

Themes are kind of more underlying. Satisfaction, reliability, like nothing else, etc.
