Sounds like some sort of wave sequencing.
using a random shaped Lfo in a very fast ratio to control the wave select.

sounds pretty cool, i'd actually like to know how to do it myself.

I did something that sounded i little like it once. Set one oscillator to a spectral wave (not to close to the "edges", no. 32 is a good starting point) and control wave select with a LFO locked to the clock. Use a non standard wave for the LFO and play around with the contour and the LFO amount for interresting results. When you have some pattern you like running, try to change the starting wave (spetral wave no.) and hear it all change into something new...
I just looked at the patch and i saw that i am also modulating the contour of of the first LFO with another LFO. Even more chaos ;)

Just checked. It´s much easier to get results. Try this:

Osc ballance: -64
Osc 1 shape: sine/wave
Osc 1 waveshape: 32
LFO 2 rate: 1/32 or 1/16 (your choise)
LFO 2 mod destination: osc 2 wave select
LFO 2 mod amount: max. 21
LFO 2 shape: Triangle or S&H (if S&H you need to adjust the rate)
For some filter effect also assign LFO 2 to filter (especially if shape is S&H)
Don´t forget to play with the filter settings and the amp env...

hey man, thanks for taking the time to help me, i got my TI recently so im still learning, i can get as far as making the wave select 32, and when u sweep throught the waves i can def hear the effect, my problem is with the modulation, i select "LFO 2 destinations 3/3" and assign it to "OSC 2 wave select", "amount 21", then i click "edit" for LFO 2, make "clock 1/32", "shape triangle" but it doesnt modulate the wave select at all? what am i doing wrong?

I don't see what the fuss is about ????? Sounds f***ing shite to me !!! there are 1 million better FX out there...

seanpace 01.07.2007 06:08 PM

its not a fuss, thats your oppinion. Im just trying to learn, once i overcome this i wont forget it.

If you want to make some really good FX then Throw ANYTHING Audio through Camelspace,Camelphat,Filterscape or Dubstation VST plugins..Or use two or Three of those after one another.
Even Hihats sound great...
Don't forget to save your work or bounce/render to Audio as the results are one off and very hard to reproduce ;-)

Girl Next Door:
He likes the sound so let him learn how to program it. I actually likes it too. It´s a good learning leason anyway...

Seanpace:
Never heard of "LFO 2 destinations 3/3" but i use a Virus C, maybe it´s different. You can use the mod matrix and do following:
- Select any assign in the mod matrix
- Select "LFO 2 rate" as source (can´t rmeber why i chose LFO 2, shouldn´t matter)
- Select "OSC 2 wave select" as desination
- Set "amount" to 21
Besides that do everything like before and Play with LFO rate...
