MIDI Controllers

Whats the deal with these? Is it possible to set everything up so that the Master Keyboard (Alesis A6) can control the Envelopes and Filters on the rest of my kit, most importantly on my knobless Fantom XR.

Would I need to setup the A6 to transmit say the Filter cut-off info on one channel and have the rest of the kit recieve Filter Cut-off on that same channel? And so do the same with each controlling function on each bit of kit?

In theory yes with a good midi controller you can program it to control pretty much anything. However from my experience and understanding ( I have an A6 as well) the midi features are somewhat limited on the A6. I use dedicated Midi controllers with no onboard sounds The Roland A70 and M-Audio Axiom 49. By the way since you own an A6 If you have not seen this site check it out...
