[SOLVED]Problems with TIOS/VC 2.51 and Ableton Live 5.22
Hi there,
since I updated to the latest release of the Virus Software, I get the effect of the Virus not updating its sounds when I use Virus Control in a Live set and load another set that also employs VC. When there's a set without VC involved or I remove the VC from the old set prior to loading a new one, everything is fine. The following workflow for example leads to erroneous behaviour: 1. start Ableton Live with a totally blank Live set 2. instantiate VC in a MIDI track 3. add a MIDI track, route it to part 1 of the Virus/VC 4. select a certain sound in VC's sound browser for part 1, let's say a pad sound 5. save the resulting Live set on disk (gives a *.als file) 6. repeat steps 1 through 3 7. this time select a different sound than before, e.g. a bass sound 8. load the set which you saved in step 5, confirm that you really want to lose unsaved work Result: the Virus does not switch back to the sound selected in step 5. Everything works fine if you insert a step 5.5 where you remove the VC plugin from your set or tell Live to start a new blank set. Did anyone else here experience this error? stay tuned HiEnergy |
Interesting, I haven't experienced this before.
I actually got most of my studio setup today, so I will test this out later on. |
just tried your test. My sound switched back when I opened the original als file.
btw I am using Ableton Live 6.0.10 |
