Hello Joerg,

How does your editor/librarian compare to the Rekon editor?

I have been considering purchase of such software and would like to know the selling points of yours as I am more familiar with Rekon at this time.

Thanks for the promo info.

Regards,

-Alex

Hi Alex,

It's allways not easy to compare such products because
both will have its own advantages.

Rekon is VSTi and you can control its parameters from your sequencer.
But it sends only controller messages. Loading a new sound takes seconds...
Not really good for sound designing.

SuperVirus provides you all things you probably miss at the hardware
in addition to the standart editing features.

For example:

Each Multi has its own 16 independent single memories like in the TI.
That means you can edit a Multi and it keeps all edits as long as you stay in session. You dont need to store your Multi parts if you switch to another muti. Just select a new multi. if you go back to the previous one, you will have all edits available!

You can easy copy just parts of a sound into another. Lets say, you want to test the filters of different single sound within your current single.
Easy to do! This way is much more effective than using the random button on your virus hardware.

Each program (single or multi) has its own unlimited Undo/Redo memory!
This Undo/redo also deals with incomming Sysex messages if you
tweak hardware knobs.

You can store singles, multies (incl. all parts sounds), sound parts (i.e.filter),
complete sessions or SYX- files to disk and as well loading from disk.

For example: Loading a complete Multi from disk into the hardware takes
about 3 seconds! You dont need to send at first the 16 singles
and afterwards the multi.

Its a complete, drag&drop- based librarian and designed to edit your
virus in the fastest and effectivest way you can imagine.

Forget all about moving singles to store a complete new multi.
No need for that any longer!

Just check it out.

Thanks for the clarification Joerg.

The two products are certainly different than each other.

Will try your demo product sometime in December when my calendar clears up a bit.

Cheers!

+1? I'd like to know this too

Sorry guys for taking so long to respond.

I really can't say if it works because I don't have a TI :(
I got the same question from a German guy and I told him
that I can create a test version but he never came back to me.
If the main functions are running (MIDI Sysex In/Out), set up a
test version shouldn't be a big prob.

Joerg
