Hello fellow Virus players...
I just acquired a Virus C, and am in love.

I've been reading thru the internet and the access website....but I still have a couple questions.

I am a psytrance producer...anyone in here make/listen/dance to this stuff?
I'm just looking for some psychedelic sound patches...and the knowledge of how to implement them into my machine.

My friend tells me that the OS update comes with its own user guide...So I'm going to try and figure that out. Been reading the manual....
the patches are pretty lame, so I want to learn how to make those organic squelching noises and blip blop bleep and fly around....I have a ways to go.

Anyway, this is my first post, so I'm going to go read thru your pages now.

peace!

Hello and welcome,

I listen to a bit of psytrance, if Eat Static, Shpongle, Astrix still count?

You can always point me in the direction of some other bands, or your own, as I am always keen to hear new stuff.

I haven't really programmed any patches in the genre but there are a few fans on this forum who will be able to help. I would be interested in a few lessons as well.

I hope you get the info you want from the forum and once again welcome.

Dave.

Hi Orb, just noticed this little tutorial on the Ableton forums regards the Virus and creating psy-ish bass lines using layers and thought of you.
