Virus C audio in and Ocsillator
Hello
I have a Virus C. Is it possible to route a signal from an other synth in my Virus and process both the external signal and the virus oscillators with the virus filter and effects ? If yes, please explain how. Greets Moroe |
For processing the external audio, you need to set the patch to either static or dynamic input mode. I'm assuming dynamic as you seem t want to get the virus oscs and the external sound processed the same way.
So take the original non-input mode patch, edit it to dynamic input mode and save it somewhere else. Switch to multi-mode, select the two patches on two parts, set both parts to the same channel. Now you have the same processing on each, however they are of course not actually being processed through the same path, so you wont get the effect of both being processed together through distortion for eg, but otherwise should be close enough. Otherwise you need to use loop back cables and split original virus patch across two patches with the post osc processing (filters, amp env, fx etc) removed from the first patch. Downside with this approach is you do loose some hard end from the original virus sound through the loop. |
