Woke up this morning and a stone has
been lifted from my heart.
No. Even better than realising I was gay.. I've finally realised that the Germans make the best white wine in the universe. OH FOOLISH ME! Wasted all those years on Chardonnay. What brutish folly! Riesling, meine liebling. Können wir vielleicht ab jetzt nur deutsch mit einander hier reden ? Was sagt Ihr? |

Lorenzo mate, with respect - and I love Italy - you will start crying with love like only me and Alex can if you buy a bottle of Reisling and chill it overnight. Serve it to your parents and they will be silenced at first. Then they will make you Il Duce for a day. Again.
I'm guessing you did the Spy Kids movie? ;-) xx |
Good call OVM! Riesling is the bomb!
I prefer Kabinet, over Spatlese or Auslese, for a table wine. With cookies or a nice slice of my Mama's fresh cake, Spatlese or Auslese do the trick nicely. A glass of Eiswein once per year is good for the constitution too. My cousins in Germany own a vineyard in Landau. They produce wine mostly for restaurants and don't export it around. I will go there after I graduate for the harvest season and help out (good excuse to stay in Germany for a few weeks) as I've always wanted to learn more about vinting. Chardonnay is pig urine. Pinot Grigio is not bad if its the right one, I've actually had a few good ones from Italy... |

LOL Lorenzo!
Alex, I'm sensing a grand tour. Amsterdam - Landau - North East Italy.. |
you will be more than welcome!
|
A grand tour indeed! Lorenzo, please begin preparing for the imperial visitation... We will need lots of wine and food, and uhh, stuff.
;) |
And you have to be prepared to go back home fat like pigs and with some pink elephant that will follow you for a week. :-)
|
YES! I've been looking for my pink elephant! That bastard ran off to Italy!
